Gong, a percussion instrument, which originated from East and Southeast Asia is made up of a circular metal disc. It is typically played with a mallet with a large felted head. A typical Gong produces two types of sound. Chinese, Burmese and Indonesian culture all include the Gong as a major instrument in their traditional music arsenal.
